Jim Towey, the founder and CEO of Aging with Dignity, calls in to talk with Gus about their work and ministry, which is to help individuals plan for end-of-life decisions. Oftentimes, things can go topsy turvy when that moment comes, and their goal is to make it easier for the kids and loved ones of parents or caregivers when their time comes. Their mission is also to affirm and defend life in this new age of physician-assisted suicide and other things that seek to diminish life. Afterwards, Gus invites listeners who’ve experienced tough end-of-life decisions with loved ones to call in and share what lessons they learned from them. To learn more about starting your own end-of-life processes, check out their program Five Wishes.

Also, Gus is joined in studio by his friend Dr. Mike Amsberry, a veterinarian who recently did a mission trip to India. He talks about how that came about, why he and his wife chose to do it and some of their experiences, including visiting a home for the “differently abled.” He talks about encountering people who lived in abject poverty but were filled with such joy and love.

And it's Monday so Gus does a round of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
