Gus shares a story about a priest in Pottstown, Pennsylvania who spent $40,000 of church money supplementing his addiction to the online game, Candy Crush Saga. Fr. Lawrence Kozak has been charged with theft and other related crimes and was relieved of his position as pastor of St. Thomas More Church in 2022, has been in counseling and is making restitution. Gus invites listeners to call in if there’s an online game they’re addicted to and, later, asks if Fr. Kozak should be given a second chance.

Also, Saturday is May the 4th, aka “Star Wars Day,” (“May the 4th be with you”). Gus is joined by Catholic author Eric Clayton to talk about his new book, “My Life with the Jedi: The Spirituality of Star Wars,” available from Loyola Press. In it, he talks about how the story arc of Star Wars is very spiritual and can be linked to the story of Christianity. He explains how Star Wars impacted him spiritually and that it can be a unifier for Christians of all different faith traditions. Inspired by their conversation, Gus asks listeners to call in and share what level Star Wars they are on a scale of 0 to 10, with zero being not at all to 10 being you go so far as to take part in Star Wars cos play.

And Bob Dunning calls in and talks about his feeling towards Star Wars and, since he is a jack of all trades and a knower of all things, takes trivia calls from listeners.
