Last Friday, during Prayer Time, a listener called in and told Gus and the listeners that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Gus invites listeners who have, or have had, a child with an illness in their lives and how that affected them and their faith.
Also, Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in to talk about a few things with Gus, including the Trans Movement, which Gus calls cultish. Fr. Leo talks separates the actual condition of transgenderism and the political movement and says that the former has to be dealt with psychologically and personally. Fr. Leo also says that, as Catholics, we have a responsibility to adhere to our morality and our teachings and have to stand by them despite popular cultural movements. For the latter, he says that we just have to walk away from people who are hostile and not interested in a dialogue. He and Gus also talk about how society has an obligation to protect children but agree that we also have an obligation to protect adults as well. They also chat about their Danube River Cruise Pilgrimage, which sets sail one week from today.
And Gus goes over his daily to-do list that he keeps in his studio, which has only five things on it, but all important. They are, pray, read scripture, pay someone a compliment, encourage someone and let the people you love know it.
